Aloe affinis - 4in

Aloe 'affinis' is a stemless or short-stemmed solitary succulent from South Africa, reaching about 3 feet tall, with pink-red flowers blooming in winter. Its yellowish-green leaves feature brownish or whitish lines parallel to the leaf axis, with yellow to light brown teeth along the margins. Often grouped with spotted aloes, it remains mostly solitary and lacks spots. Producing several branched inflorescences, its compactly-branched panicles boast deep pink or brick-red racemes. Found in rocky slopes and grassy areas, it thrives in full coastal sun or light shade, proving fairly drought and frost-resistant down to 22°F. It attracts birds and butterflies, making it a charming addition to gardens.
