This solitary cactus, sometimes forming clusters with age, blooms vibrant red flowers in late winter. A favorite among succulent enthusiasts, it faces threats from habitat loss due to agricultural activities. As a fast-growing cactus, it's relatively easy to cultivate, requiring well-draining soil, sunny positions, and minimal watering during winter.
