Cold Climates - Add Heat Pack
For cold climates with upcoming sub-32-degree temperatures within five days of your order, we strongly advise adding a heat pack. Orders without a heat pack will not include one.
To prevent plants from freezing while in transit, orders placed for areas with severe freezing temperatures will be held for shipment until it is safe to ship.
Aloe aculeata is a stemless, solitary succulent native to Zimbabwe, featuring sharp spines on all surfaces of its thick, fleshy leaves. Forming dense rosettes up to 1 meter in height and width, its leaves are narrow, incurved, and range from grey-green to purple-bronze, adorned with reddish-brown triangular teeth. Flowering from late winter to early spring, it produces long, narrow inflorescences with tubular, downward-flattened flowers in various colors. Named for its prickly nature, it thrives in well-drained soil and benefits from occasional watering during summer, remaining dormant in winter. Hardy down to 20°F, it's ideal for xeriscaping, with its thorny foliage and colorful flowers adding interest to dry gardens.
