Aloe burgersfortensis

Reference only - not in production

Aloe burgersfortensis is a typical maculate aloe, often solitary but occasionally forming multiple heads. Its variable foliage is brownish with white spots on a green-gray background. The rosette is compact with decurved to spreading leaves. Flowers are downward-angled, red-orange, attracting hummingbirds. Originating near Burgersfort, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa, it prefers well-draining soil and moderate watering in summer. Frost-resistant but damaged below -2°C (28°F), it's suitable for landscaping in mild climates, forming dense groups or grown in containers. Adaptable and easy to grow, it adds color to sunny spots and makes a long-lasting cut flower.
