Aloe deltoideodonta - 4in

Aloe deltoideodonta, originating from southern central Madagascar, is a small, slow-growing, clustering Aloe with stunning, broad leaves adorned with longitudinal stripes and usually unbranched inflorescence. It produces pups from the base, forming rosettes with pale green leaves, about 6 to 8 inches long and 2 inches wide, featuring prominent darker-green parallel lines and straw-colored margins. The leaves are wedge-shaped, blue-green, and marked with faint lines, white spots, and a vaguely pink margin, gaining a reddish glow when stressed. This aggressive offsetter forms a small mound over time, clumping from the base. Flowering in mid to late fall, its unique salmon-colored flowers bloom early in the 'aloe season,' occasionally surprising with short-branched or unbranched conical inflorescences bearing green-tipped pale orange flowers that open to near white and deflex downward. Thriving in warm temperate climates, it withstands cold nights down to 25°F and adds charm to small to medium-sized containers or well-drained spots in dry gardens.
