A solitary rosette-forming Aloe that grows a trunk to as tall as 3 feet and topped with an 18 inch to 3 feet wide head of light bluish-green leaves.
In late fall into winter the single branching inflorescence reaches to 6 feet and rises above the leaves with conical racemes of bright red flowers.
This is an open hybrid with A. pretoriensis. Parentage is unknown. Size and shape of the plants seems to vary dramatically.
